  • Condition: The deck of playing cards is used, but in the original box. The box surfaces have wear and nicks on the edges. The cards are in very nice condition. Edges are still sharp and corners are good. This is a complete set of 52 with 1 Joker for a total of 53 cards. The memorandum book is in poor condition, with tears writing, etc.

    Vintage Excelsior Springs, MO Collectibles - Playing Cards and Memorandum Booklet
    The deck of playing cards is used, but in the original box. The box surfaces have wear and nicks on the edges. The cards are in very nice condition. Edges are still sharp and corners are good. This is a complete set of 52 with 1 Joker for a total of 53 cards.
    These cards were advertising/souvenirs for the Excelsior Institute in Excelsior Springs, MO.
    They were made by the Arrco Playing Card Company, Chicago, and Made in the U.S.A.
    The memorandum book is in poor condition, with wear, tears, writing, etc.
    See in the pictures. It was printed for the American Steel and Wire Company for American Steel Fence Posts. The inside back cover has a, July - Dec. 1922 and Jan. - Dec. of 1923, calendar. The back cover has the fence post supplier printed: Lambert Lumber Co., Excelsior Springs, Mo.
