    HISTORY/MARKS:
Franz Heinrich established his porcelain decorating studio in 1896, initially at his parents’ home, in Selb, Bavaria.  In approximately 1900, he began producing his own porcelain and the company name was changed to Heinrich & Co.  In 1929, Heinrich & Co. merged with Graf & Crippler which was also in Selb operating from 1906-1929.  The combined company continued to use the Heinrich & Co. name.  It continues to operate under the name Heinrich Porzellan, becoming a subsidiary of Villeroy & Boch in 1979.
This item has the green underglaze "H&Co." mark on it.  The Heinrich & Company Factory mark is identified as mark #1115 (in Robert E. Rontgen’s Marks on German, Bohemian and Austrian Porcelain 1710 to the Present) and was used 1911-1939.
