YOU ARE BIDDING ON RARE FIRST EDITION (??) of ANTON RUBINSTEIN'S (1829-1894) BARCAROLLE no. 2, Op 45 (bis) in A Minor for solo piano. Rubinstein has inscribed, dated and signed the work, "Leipzig, Jan or Jun 4, 1856."
The writing above the signature is probably not that of Rubinstein's; it's somebody else's autograph, a Mr. Whistling or Whittling.
